New Vendor Registration

In an effort to streamline and make more efficient the ability for Vendors to obtain Bid information from the County of Ventura, GSA has developed the on-line Vendor Registration process. This not only gives GSA a better ability to send out Bid Requests but also allows the Vendor to make changes that are real time and does not require GSA intervention.

To get started, click New Vendor on the menu screen:

The New Vendor Registration screen will appear. You need only fill out this form once for each business that you are signing up to be a Vendor doing business with the County of Ventura.

When the New Vendor Registration screen appears, fill out all the information that you have. Most fields are required so be as succinct as possible.

Enter your Business (Vendor) name or what name you do business as. This will be the name used when  you receive correspondence from GSA. If you are already a Registered Vendor under the old guidelines, please use the name that you have used in the past. If you are an individual, use the legal name that you use in your business affairs starting with your Last name, then your First name (e.g. Smith, John). This is required.

Next fill out your Business Address, or the address that you want correspondence from GSA to always be sent to. All fields are required.

Type in your Contact information: Contact Name, Phone Number and Email are the only required fields. If you do not have a contact name, enter None.

Enter all information requested for the Identification section. You must enter a Federal Tax ID - OR - a Social Security Number, only one entry. This will be your user id which you will use to login to the system in the future. Please be sure this is your Tax ID and you have the authority to use.

Enter your Business Category information. We use this information for statistical purposes only. All fields are required.

Guidelines for determining appropriate business category:

A Small Business is an independently owned and operated concern certified, or certifiable, as a small business by the Federal Small Business Administration (SBA). A general rule of thumb is a business with not more than 500 employees may be considered a small business.

Female Owned means a business is at least 51% owned by a woman who also controls and operates the business.

Ethnicity of Owner means that the business is 51% owned by an individual of the indicated origin or, in the case of any publicly owned business, at least 51% of the stock of which is owned by such individuals; and whose management and daily business operations is controlled be such individuals.

When complete, click the Submit Application command button.
